<![CDATA[Ikea Ribba Smart Mirror 50x50cm]]>Hello fellow smart mirror enthusiasts,

here is my smart mirror using MagicMirror!
I used the Ribba frame from Ikea, 50cm X 50cm mirror glass and an old 13.3" macbook display.

I also added a usb microphone and a script to turn the display off and on depending on the sound level. It’s a very basic setup with just calendar, weather and news but I really enjoy it this way!

The mirror is a bit dirty as you can see in the last picture :)

Just run “python audio_display_control.py”. I run python 2.7 on raspbian.

I used small screws to mount the boards on the backboard. The backboard is solid cardboard so it’s easy to drill the holes yet it’s solid enough to hold the boards.
