UNSOLVED MMM-Hotword play capture from analog mic instead of usb

I am building my MM on an old netbook mobo I have and am using a headphone jack driven microphone to capture sound. I can see it picking up activity in pulse however the default configurations for assistant and hotwords are based around usb mics. I would like a hand in figuring out how to redirect my config to the correct device. Any help is appreciated.
