Everything is setup and now i want to build the frame (which is the hard part for me).
I have a questions though about the frame and fitting all together. Do i need a transparent glass in front of the acrylic sheet when i have it all together ?
How will it hold firm with a wooden frame in front ?
Any help / suggestions appreciated.

For Acrylic sheet you will need to build a complete frame, after taking allowances as suggested by @<bdi>bhepler</bdi>

Changes in humidity (and the fact that you’ve cut the wood into pieces) will make it expand slightly. If you don’t account for this, the wood will push on the sides of your acrylic, warping it.

It shouldn’t take much to give it enough slack. Maybe half a centimeter all around.

But in the video you are using a glass. I have an acrylic sheet which is slightly bigger than the monitor.
The sheet is 18"x 24" and the monitor is 24" (which is 12.5" x 21.5 ").

BTW: I did see your video and liked it. especially the dimensions and calculations with excel sheet…

See standard woodworking videos on youtube for frame building ideas, or hit up a frame shop.
