<![CDATA[MMM-Awesome-Alexa Trouble]]>Hey! I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to fix this. When I startup the mirror I get this error and the screen is just pitch black with no modules. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

all this does is take the steps on the wiki make them run in a script

it does fix one dependency correction

make executable.
doinstall.sh

does all the module install steps, so remove the current awesome-alexa module folder, ignore the errors, only result of last step matters

The information related to the capitalization is found on the developers install page. He specifically calls out “MMM-awesome-alexa”. However, I have yet to get this module to function. Each time I add to the MM config, the black screen with cursor appears.

The program does not give back any errors at all, but Alexa does not work either (because of the pathway name change). Sorry I didn’t notice this before posting. I’ll keep looking into it.

I don’t know if you are still interested or if you already figured it out, but it happened to me too and have just found a fix. So here it is, for you, or whomever may need it.

Go to the MagicMirror folder, get inside modules, and rename the folder “MMM-awesome-alexa” to “MMM-Awesome-Alexa”.

It seems like the program is Capitals sensitive and couldn’t find the pathway. After renaming, it stopped giving back those errors.
