    PIR Sensor won't wake up

      i guess i have the same issue.
      you can try easily with this module

      https://github.com/bugsounet/MMM-NewPIR

      you can change inside the module the mode

      mode: 1 - use vgencmd
      mode: 3 - use tvservice

      in my case it works. But i think i have an adjustment problem.

      The screen turns off and also the sensor can wake up the screen again.
      But if there is no movement, the screen turn on randomly. Currently i have no solution. I guess there is some wrong settings on sensors Potentiometer.

        @sceetch I came to a conclusion to not use any modules which do not show any info on the screen. So, in this case, I use a python script at boot which monitors a PIR and executes an HDMI on/off cmd 😉
