I forget exactly how I set mine up but it was either by allowing specific IP addresses to talk to each other one way, or a combo of that and enebling mDNS of some sorts (which is something I think you have to enable for things like Google speaker on an adjacent local network).  Obviously, you will find better info on a forum dedicated to your router…</p>

<p dir="auto">address set to “localhost”, means only apps INSIDE the same machine can connect</p>
<p dir="auto">changing to “0.0.0.0” (all adapters)  means SOME systems outside the MM machine can connect,<br />
and ipWhitelist give a list of address masks to test if those systems are allowed</p>
<p dir="auto">for easy access , and no security for anyone on your local lan/wifi), address:“0.0.0.0” and ipWhiltelist:[]  will allow anyone on your lan/wifi to connect to the MagicMirror application</p>
