<![CDATA[Touchscreen monitor/mirror NO IR FRAME]]>Can I use the touch screen monitor independently. I am not interested in using an IR frame.

I am looking to implement a magic mirror in my home for calendar, schedules and IoT access. I have seen some good touchscreen answers but nothing without the use of IR frames in some capacity or another.

Display: 24" capacitive touchscreen monitor. 60hz ref. rate.
Mirror: Two way mirrors “smart mirror” tempered 5mm
Pi: raspberry pi 3b+

I ordered the 24" display I am going to run some tests before applying a mirror. Even though most applications are output based I am hoping to integrate some input such as the calendar and minor IoT accesses.

I have not gone too in depth on the project but its like a running application that can be switched between like a process.

note that most modules are not input enabled, as a ‘mirror’ hangs on the wall and is usually output only.

you won’t be able to put glass or film over the monitor.
