<![CDATA[Warehouse Dashboard]]>Hi All,

Chasing a little bit of help/advice…

I’d like to create a dashboard for our workplace warehouse.

Essentially, I want to be able to show:

  • a “live” excel spreadsheet (will take up most of the screen)
  • the date
  • the weekly weather
  • possibly a stream of a camera

What I’d like to know is:
a) Is this going to be a difficult task for a complete beginner?
b) WHAT DO I DO THIS?!

Apologies for being so vague but, as noted, I’m a complete newbie to all of this but VERY keen to learn as this will be a game changer for the day-to-day running of our company.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

there is currently no module that processes
excel sheets directly

you can export it as csv, convert the csv to json, and then there are modules that can use the json
see the 3rd party module list linked in the top menu above.

think about the data in the sheet, to have a readable view from 10-20 feet away takes a decent sized font, which means not much data can be displayed. add on clock and weather may take a pretty big display.

or you have to cycle what is in view with one of the modules that makes logical pages

definitely doable, you will need to learn a lot
