I have published a new weather provider for the built-in MagicMirror²
weather
module:

MagicMirror² FMI Weather Provider
https://github.com/i-xul/magicmirror-weather-fmi-provider

It uses open weather data from the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) and does not require an API key.

This is a weather provider, not a separate MMM weather module. It uses the built-in MagicMirror² weather module and follows the server-side provider API introduced in MagicMirror² v2.35.0.

Currently supported:

current weather observations

daily forecasts using FMI HARMONIE data

FMI weather symbols mapped to MagicMirror Weather Icons

automatic day/night icon selection

sunrise and sunset calculation

daily min/max temperatures

daily precipitation totals

shared forecast requests between current and forecast instances

retry handling for temporary FMI request failures

Tested with:

MagicMirror² 2.37.0

Raspberry Pi 4

Debian 11 arm64

Node.js 24.x

The provider is available as a standalone bundled
fmi.js
, so installation does not require npm dependencies on the MagicMirror system.

A screenshot, installation instructions and configuration examples are available in the README.

This is the initial v0.1.0 release. Feedback is welcome.
