<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[$9 C.H.I.P.]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">I received my <a href="https://getchip.com/pages/store" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">$9 C.H.I.P. computer</a> today, with the HDMI module that I added to the Kickstarter campaign. So naturally, I wanted to see if it would run MM. Being that it runs Debian, I figured why not.</p>
<p dir="auto">The positives:<br />
Hardware is ARM7l …<br />
Installing node v6+: no problem.<br />
Installing the necessary node modules: no problem<br />
Installing electron: no issues</p>
<p dir="auto">The negative: Electron won’t run. It’s saying it’s missing one of the prebuilt files. I need to figure out what that is and why. But, it DOES run as a server only setup. I can load it up just fine through a browser. This is actually kinda fun for a tiny little thing. And I do mean tiny, it’s smaller than a Raspberry Pi.</p>

You should be able to disable that. I’d have to go back and load mine up to see what I did, but I do remember running it for a while without it blanking out on me.</p>

<p dir="auto">I then installed the declutter function to get rid of the curser and followed the auto start instructions and seemingly it all works well with a couple of issues:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p dir="auto">i’m running through composite so it is very cluttered in terms of resolution</p>
</li>
<li>
<p dir="auto">i can seem to stop CHIP from blanking out after 10 mins</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">i’m running the most recent GUI for CHIP, so yes it does work but it’ll need some playing around with to make it look nice.</p>
