@alfonsopagan it depends on a few factors… if your room is very bright, then you might want something with about 50% transparency. If the mirror won’t get any direct sunlight, then 15-20% should work fine.

However this also depends on the brightness of the screen you use. If you’re using an old or inexpensive monitor that isn’t particularly bright, then you might want to opt for a higher light transmittance.

you want to find a balance where the details on the screen will be plainly visible on your mirror, without the outline of the screen being apparent (e.g. the “brightness” of the monitor’s black level). If you have the option to do so, order a few samples of various light transmittance to find the one that works well for your particular situation.

In my case, I’m using a recent TV screen in a position that doesn’t get direct sunlight. So 20% worked for me.
