config.js for upgrade<br />
and no confug for the screen saver and pm2 scripts at the end</p>
<p dir="auto">upgrade does what u are supposed to do manually, but breaks running systems with lots of none-base modules</p>
<p dir="auto">upgrade tries to detect and fix the breakage</p>
<p dir="auto">run 1st time it will just check if its possible upgrade would work</p>
<p dir="auto">second time with ‘apply’  parm will do the upgrade process. a log is kept of the process</p>

After that I read this with the new update and executed it, unfortunately without any changes. The downgrade of electron described above also brought no change. Still a black screen and no display via ip:8080.</p>

It seem that many people having problems, are running something out dated.<br />
Either: <em>nodejs, npm,</em> or <em>pm2</em>.</p>
<p dir="auto">Because of the incredible dependency chain involved for node packages, I can only assume that using a newer versions of one package, will also require a newer version of the package depending on it, and possibly vice versa. Of course when things are working, it all beautiful, but it seem very easy that it doesn’t.</p>

Rebooted, stopped MagicMirror and then the downgrade worked.<br />
MagicMirror is up and running again!</p>
