Mirror film in United Kingdom
Hi I am new to all of this also UK based. I design and manufacture architectural furniture and often use glass from Pilkington.
I believe they have a product which might interest you for the mirror.
I haven’t tried it myself as yet, but they offer two types one for low light conditions, and one for bright ambient lighting.
It has been specifically designed for mirror tv’s etc and supposedly allows touchscreen support.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the reply, although that’s back into the glass price ranges there so you’re definitely not looking at £7 in total! Although I do understand it more than likely looks a lot nicer…
There’s plenty of two way acrylic suppliers and a few glass ones in the UK, just less so places to get the film at lower VLT percentages. I ended up buying some 15% film from eBay in the end so I’ll post a small review, link and pictures when I end up doing it next week for anyone else who’s interested in film in the UK.

Honestly I wouldn’t bother with the film.
I bought some from a amazon for about £15, it’s an absolute sod to fit, Sharp as hell got a nasty paper type cut from it and the end result isn’t great.
For not much more money (depending on your mirror size) you can get an acrylic two way mirror from cutplasticsheeting who are based in plymouth. Only slight downside is the £15 delivery charge but such is life. Quality is great, ‘almost’ as good as glass
I’m with Noel - forget it.
I tried 60% film and although I was impressed with it optically, it was an absolute pain getting it perfect even when sandwiching it. I spent so much time and trouble then was never truly happy with it. When you’ve fiddled for ages you end up cleaning it every two minutes while you’re trying to get it right as it picks up the tinniest of bits. What a palaver.
I bought an acrylic one from mirrorworld in the end. 300x600 was about £35y. Really chuffed
