How do I use a record to check if my mic records? When I open pulse audio and speak into my mic it registers as picking up sound, is that enough? Or do I need to use arecord?

I’m using pulseaudio for BT external speaker in ATB, and it works well.
The only things you should check are;

get a mic recording with arecord

output sound with aplay or other player
