    • RE: [ORDER CLOSED] Two way mirror order in Germany

Mine arrived just now in one piece. It was well packed, I’m superhappy with it. Thank you Chriz!!! Pics will follow when I’ve time to set my mirror up (may take a while).

I can encourage everybody to participate in a second order if Chriz were willing to make one 🙂

I think in the same way. Are there any disadvantages because of the order of @oberschlingel ? It takes a bit more of time for you to pack but it wouldn’t be so noticable for us, wouldn’t it?

Let him get his mirror 😉 As long as there are confirmations left.

If my opinion was asked I would say that it’s not possible anymore to hop on especially when you cannot get the mirror by yourself (@MH) and disregard @Goldjunge_Chriz wish to keep this thread english and obviously don’t provide all necessary information (@dr-h8ball).

Sorry if it sounds rude to anyone, but @Goldjunge_Chriz has much to do with this order and he doesn’t get much for it. Apparently there’re more orders than @Goldjunge_Chriz thought and he still is willing to do the favour for us. Additionally more participants mean longer waittime and we’re over the deadline @Goldjunge_Chriz set.

If it’s okay for @Goldjunge_Chriz then I’ve nothing against it but it seems to me @Goldjunge_Chriz is uncomfortable with saying no to someone 😃

A big THANK YOU to @Goldjunge_Chriz again! @cpramhofer s order is the last one. Hopefully he answers soon and we can throw money at you 😉

yes, and you need to check the dependencies in your package.json file.
The WS2801 library uses lightly other function-names, you probably need to check that out

      https://www.npmjs.com/package/rpi-ws2801 vs.
      https://www.npmjs.com/package/lpd8806-async

I work on an own repository for this one but unfortunaly do not have much time at the moment, you can check that out as well. I thought of an option which sais that you are using ws2801 or lpd8806 and the module handles it … but a lot stuff to do.

Nice! I really love the oeffi app and always thought it’s a pity that it’s not available through an webpage.

I will definitly test this out and maybe make contributions. Could you provide some screenshots? That would be awesome.

I cannot find a module which does exactly what you want but maybe this module is a good way to start.
      https://github.com/PtrBld/MMM-Podcast
I don’t know how it works exactly because I don’t get how the omxplayer shows up but you can try this out since it plays videos what you require.

The range of a PIR sensor maybe is too wide. I expect it detects anyone as soon as he enters the room so the adverts disappear before someone can have a look on it. I have a HC-SR501 for my own mirror and it reacts relatively fast.

I estimate a ultrasonic sensor is better for this task. I think of the HC-SR04 which just detects objects directly in front of it (max. distance ~ 3 meters). As long as no one stand in front of it, a mirror will be useless anyway.

I hope I could helped you a little bit and could give you a push in the right direction.

Edit: recently found this: https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/2094/youtube-embedded-youtube-on-your-magicmirror which may also help you.

@Goldjunge_Chriz how about an update? I paid a week ago. How about the others, how many haven’t paid yet, when do you think the payments are complete so you can order the mirrors from the supplier?

@schmo90 I bought a WS2801 LED strip as well. What did you changed to use this module with your strip?

I think it would be great for this module to implement both possibilities of LED strips so one can set the type in the properties, wouldn’t it?

      @Goldjunge_Chriz confirmed

I have one last question. What happens if the package arrived, had no noticable damage on the outside but when I unpacked it the mirror is broken?
