Hi. Was your display switched off during reboot? I had that with my tv and follow a small tutorial to save my display settings so the pi does not care if the display is on or off during boot

RE: The Mystic Mirror: An Alexa-powered Magic Mirror
nice one. very hillarious introduction video
The only thing that would annoy me is the beeping confirmation sound the voice recognition plays on key press and after it completed the command. -
RE: "Magic-Mirror_die-Losungen-Modul" by bitte-ein-bit does not work: no text is displayed

RE: Home Energy Usage on my Mirror?
In addition to strawberry it looks like it is rather complicated getting access to the SiteSage API. Looking at various threads on the SiteSage support portal it requires approval from the sales guys and maybe a technical approval from your campus it department.

RE: First attempt on a 40" Flatscreen
Nice size indeed. I bought a 32" TV on ebay kleinanzeigen (20€) for my mirror. How will your mirror look like, when you build the frame and such?

RE: my raspberry pi 3 has a os installed but
So you bought your Raspberry with a preinstalled sd card, right?
-
ListenpunktIs your raspberry connected to the internet automatically?
-
ListenpunktDid you perform an update of your system afterwards? Please look at this instruction: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/raspbian/updating.md
I installed the raspbian os manually (downloaded the latest Jessi image, flashed it to the sd card and performed the update described above. If I remember correctly I had some trouble with date/time before the updates, after the update everything is fine.

@Kai-Christoph said in Lost resolution after reboot?!?:
hdmi_group=2
means “use DMT”
hdmi_group=1 would use CEASo I would suggest finding out possible modes in CEA and set these in your config.txt

RE: Smartphone App for configuring MagicMirror
If you want to create a SmartPhone app, then go for it. Even if you are the only one using it you gain experience by writing.
There already is a RemoteControl module ( https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/735/mmm-remote-control ) which is accessible by any browser. As such the remote control is platform independant.
