from now on mirror orders in different geometrical forms are possible :)
I have created a new thread for this so that this information in the existing thread for the orders will not be overlooked. The conditions can be found in the picture below. You will continue to receive all existing edges including geometric shapes polished, if you want. ;)
The orders themselves continue to run on the respective thread.
If you are interested, please deposit a note in “additional comments” and send me a drawing of your desire ;)

@drx1984 - Yeah, I can. It’s on the list of projects. I don’t know when I’ll get to it. For you I’ll bump it up the priority list a bit. But I don’t have an estimate.
Good morning,
aha ok, thank you very much, yes that would be very good.
My current MagicMirror is an old 40" LCD TV. It’s positioned in area that get a lot of light and is quite hard to read. I am considering rebuilding it with something might brighter. What TV would recommend? Something around 55" would be fantastic.
@ZiggidyZ That could be a good unit… I’d personally take it off the stand if you’re going to put it in an enclosure, and use a low profile vesa mount like this. You could also build up like a mirror project, just use a clear piece of front material in lieu of a 2 way mirror.
I never could get the motion sensing to work as well as I’d like. My solution at night is as others mentioned: a cron job to shut down and then a smart outlet to cut power 5 min later. The smart outlet turns on at 5:45AM so my MM is up and running when I wake up.
I also implemented a screensaver to run after a period of inactivity to prevent screen burn-in.
@1a2a3a - One of the modules that I maintain is MMM-WeatherBackground. It will put a background image on your mirror and change it up according to what your weather app forecasts.
I find that the key feature is the ability to set the transparency of the background image. That way you can adjust how much of the background image is present vs the reflection that you see.
