I tried to reinstall this module, several times, to make it work, with no luck. After new year’s there was a MagicMirror Update, Jan 2024, and it fixed itself. No idea why or how this happened but it works again

I think it’s this
Show the days only which has event on the day. .CX3A .agenda .cell[data-events-counts="0"] { display: none; }

v2.22.0 & Font Awesome FAB icons
Hello,
Usually, every time there’s an update I have to edit calendar.js to get the FAB icons from FontAwesome working.
I noticed this updates is supposed to do the job for me but it seems there’s no tutorial or explanation of how to use it. This is what the update mentions.
Possibility to change FontAwesome class in calendar, so icons like fab fa-facebook-square works.
However in the documentation this is the only information available.
defaultSymbol The default symbol. Possible values: See Font Awesome website. Default value: calendar
I am using one FAS icon for the calendar and another FAB icon for Canadian holidays, but I can’t make it work both at the same time without manipulating the file.
Please let me know how to set it up, (I believe in config.js), to make it work.

kolbyjack / MMM-Wallpaper & Synology
I love this app. I use it in my one board (I did not put a mirror but I use it as a dashboard). I am also owner of Synology, and using my pictures from a Synology album sounds like a very good idea.
As Synology Moments was replaced with Synology Photos in DSM version 7.2, the code for using Synology Moments does not work anymore. I asked the creator a while ago but he no longer has a Synology.
With my limited programming knowledge I tried to see if I could make it work, with no luck. I tested this information from the two links below, with no luck.
https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/7/post/145996
https://github.com/zeichensatz/SynologyPhotosAPII wanted to post it here in case there’s someone interested in fixing/updating the code
https://github.com/kolbyjack/MMM-Wallpaper/issues/69
For now, my only option is to download the pictures in the Rapsberry pi.
Thank you

RE: v2.22.0 & Font Awesome FAB icons
@sdetweil Fantastic, thank you so much. It worked!
This is the code I have (in case someone needs it):
{ module: "calendar", header: "Canadian Holidays (QC), position: "top_left", config: { calendars: [ { url: "https://www.officeholidays.com/ics-clean/canada/quebec", symbol: "canadian-maple-leaf", color: 'crimson' }, ], defaultSymbolClassName: "fab fa-", colored: true, coloredSymbolOnly: true, maximumEntries: "2", wrapEvents: true, } },
And happy new year!!!

RE: MMM-CalendarExt3Agenda

Done. (Released. v1.4.2)
A new config value,relativeNamedDayOptions
, is introduced. Now People can modify the option generally.However, for your specific purpose (
en X días
instead ofdentro de X días
), further step is needed.Only the Mexican locale supports
en X días
format withrelativeNamedDayOptions: {style : 'short' }
, other Spanish-locales don’t.
So to geten X días
, you have to uselocale: 'es-MX'
regardless of which country you live.locale: "es-MX", relativeNamedDayOptions: { style: "short", },
If you are living in Mexico, there would be no issue. But in other countries where the week starts on Monday, 2 more configuration is needed.
locale: "es-MX", relativeNamedDayOptions: { style: "short", }, firstDayOfWeek: 1, minimalDaysOfNewYear: 4,
Of course, if you don’t care
dentro de 3 días
, You can use any locale under which you live.locale: "es-ES",
Thank you so much, it’s working perfectly. I had Spanish Colombia but I ended up switching to Mexico to make it work.

RE: MMM-CalendarExt3Agenda
@BKeyport said in MMM-CalendarExt3Agenda:
@luisestrada I believe that’s a translation error - and may not even be “our” fault…
I see there’s nothing we can do, with my limited programming skills I was able to get to row 271 in MMM-CalendarExt3Agenda.js
let p = new Intl.RelativeTimeFormat(options.locale, { numeric: "auto", style: "long" })
and I found out that Intl.RelativeTimeFormat is written like that, for Spanish locale settings.
As I said before it’s not wrong but they could have said “en 3 días” instead of “dentro de 3 días”. It’s like in English when you say “in 3 days” and “within 3 days”.

RE: MMM-CalendarExt3Agenda
@BKeyport I tried to find the source but no idea where this comes from.

RE: MMM-CalendarExt3Agenda
Happy new year everyone!
Indeed the fix works now. Thank you @MMRIZE
Another comment, even though “dentro de X días” is correct in Spanish it’s also long. It could also be said “En X días” and it will be also correct. Not an issue but a suggestion.

RE: MMM-CalendarExt3Agenda
@CDT said in MMM-CalendarExt3Agenda:
Possible bug here. The Agenda doesn’t show scheduled events on the final day as set by the endDateIndex.
I’m trying to get the Ext3Agenda to show me just a single day. Using startDayIndex:0, endDateIndex:0. When doing this, it only shows full-day events, not events scheduled a specific time.
If I change endDateIndex:1, then I get the proper items appearing, but also a header for day 2.
I notice that not matter what the endDateIndex is listed, it doesn’t seem to show sheduled events the last day. Only the header and any full-day events.
I think you are referring to the same issue I posted a while ago but unfortunately I was not able to make myself clear.

Sonos Module
Hi @Snille
Merry Christmas, and a prosperous 2024 for you and all in this forum.
My module was working for years and 3 months ago I started getting this loading message (I was busy and could no troubleshoot it earlier). When I access localhost:5005/zone I see all the information but the module does not capture it. I tried to add it again but still with no luck.
I also tried the IP and localhost and non of them work. This started happening after an update, I don’t know which one. ehehehe
