Two-way mirror film applied directly to monitor?
-
I was throwing around a few ideas in my head while applying privacy mirrored film to a few windows in my condo and had the realization that potentially the need for glass in a smart mirror could be circumvented entirely by applying the film directly to the monitor?
I realize you’d have to apply the film in the opposite way it was intended, with the clear peel-off film facing outward and essentially only apply the film using the suction created by squeegeeing the water out but does anyone have any knowledge of whether this method works?
For my purposes I don’t need a flawless mirror but am concerned that perhaps the static generated by the LCD screen may have an affect on the longevity of the film staying on the screen. Thanks for any help.
