      was able to get it to work. only issues is screensaver continues to active.
      tried this with no luck

      sudo nano /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart

      add the following lines:

      @xset s noblank
      @xset s off
      @xset -dpms
      Save and close, using the commands CTRL-O and CTRL-X.

      Go to lightdm.conf:

      sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

      add the following lines:

      xserver-command=X -s 0 -dpms

        @wagon40 I noticed that too.

        Do this

        bash -c "$(curl -sL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror_scripts/master/screensaveroff.sh)"

          @sdetweil said in PI Zero module issues for this beginner:

          bash -c “$(curl -sL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror_scripts/master/screensaveroff.sh)”

          looks like it worked! working on a my-commute issue at this time.
