Instead of the monitor turning on and off is there a way to just have a black screen?

I want my screen blank until it detects motion. Instead of turning the screen on and off is there a way to just have the screen go black? And then fade back in the modules when motion is detected? That way there is no HDMI 1 stuff on the screen when it first turns on.

@dxfan227 yes, but it’s not black, the screen still has backlighting, so a decent glow at night.

My MMM-SleepWake module supports the hide type sleep. It assumes something outside the module can report motion sensing. PIR, camera… whatever. I supply the script your motion detector calls to interface w the module

I will have to look into it. How do I sync it with say a PlayStation eye camera? Do I need something like mmm motion (which broadcast a notification) to make it work? Do you have any recommendations?
