yep assistant… same problem as hotword… incompatible binary versions

Then, you need to rebuild grpc module for electron of MagicMirror.

        npm install --save-dev electron-rebuild
        ./node_modules/.bin/electron-rebuild

For the last command, it is very long to achieve ; 5 minutes that it runs.
            It’s written : Building module : grpc, Completed: 0

                Don’t know yet.
Did I do something wrong with the update ?
                Everything seams to be broken…

Anyway, thank you very much for your precious help and sorry for my poor english (I’m from France)

@mattx38 no issue… the ‘default’ instructions don’t consider all the other things that will break.

even my upgrade script does not handle these problems… as they are so module specific…

my french is a LOT worse than your english!..

                    Ok I understand.
I saw a message on the Remote Control module github and it seams there is also a problem with it after the MMM update.

My MagicMirror was running as a charm till this update. I saw the alert on the MM screen so I did it… what a shame

It is still running, but nothing changed into the terminal.
After the command “npm install --save-dev electron-rebuild” I had this message :

                      • electron-rebuild@1.10.1
updated 2 packages and audited 822 packages in 16.302s

3 packages are looking for funding
                      run npm fund for details

                      found 9 low severity vulnerabilities
run npm audit fix to fix them, or npm audit for details

Should I run “npm fund” and “npm audit fix” before launching the second command ?
