Mac node version

So, I intend to have Magic Mirror on both pi and mac but for mac, npm start, black screen w/ cursor problem. What node -v do i need. I currently have 10.2.1 Does anybody know what node -v the dude in the vid had on his mac?

that is catalina, in a VMWare workstaion virtual machine, running Magic Mirror, with the MMM-ImagesPhtotos background images from my server, and my calendar using the default cal module
and a couple of my modules running…the best thing would be to uninstall nodejs with brew, remove the MM folder, and then run my installer script from https://github.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror_scripts
just read the readme and cut/paste the appropriate command
