Love my magic mirror, and many thanks to all the contributors and especially Michael.
But on to the subject. I came accross this fun article:

and I thought alot of it reminded me of a magic mirror, especially those who have been trying to add touch. Especially especially the glass option. The downside is when they do bring this up for sale it’s going to be in the $1000 range.
So… who’s tempted to make one of these with a raspi pi for less??

So beautiful. How could they transmit the light beneath wood? It might not be real wood. Maybe… wood-like film? I searched their website, I can find the fabric version of it. hmmm. interesting. -

so I think less… fabric and more diode holes?
But then that leaves me wondering… how is the touch part working? Apparently this company has a lot of experience with touch sensors and did some work on the Nintendo Switch.
