It works on OSX well (Basically all my magicmirror modules were developed on MacBookPro)
I agree to @sdetweil . You might have made a mistake to use sudo on making your environment.

To solve this problem

delete your npm cache
reset the permissions of your /Users/patrickhah/.npm

Or try this;

sudo npm cache clean -f

@Sean what I doing wrong when installing magic mirror or npm
-I do the manual install…from MM site
-I download node js and install

I install pm2
than I install modules
