worked for me!

With the help of another User on Github we found out what was causing the error!
It was the sudo, that I mistakenly used to execute the script. Running the install as pi was the solution.

Hey there!

I want to use the ac/dc converter (and also the display interface board) of my display. But I want to isolate it properly so I can place it on the backside of the lcd panel that’s made of aluminium and the solder joints won’t touch it. The frame of the hole mirror will also be out of aluminium.

I bought plastic sheeting for this purpours but I’m not sure if can just glue or tape the board on it.
Could there be a problem with heat development or something else?

How can I connect the Compliments Module with the Weather Module for weather-controlled display of compliments?
I know there’s a line currentWeatherType: ""in compliments.js but I don’t know what I have to insert in there.

And what I also want to know:
Can I do weather-controlled and time-controlled compliments in the same time?
For example at a rainy evening it shows entries from “evening” and “rain”?

Can you please tell me how high the transmission of the mirror is? Is it around 10%?

May be a dumb question but have you activated the deamons for SSH and VNC on the Pi? :grinning:
The IPs are probably because your WLAN Router/AP has a different IP-Range as the Interfaces for LAN configured.

Deactivate screensaver if not done yet.
That may be a cause.

How do you controll the display? Are you using a command like /opt/vc/nin/tvservice -o and /opt/vc/nin/tvservice -p or just tvservice -o?

And is the display connected via hdmi?

If that’s the case you could try the following:

In /boot/config.txt add hdmi_blanking=1 and reboot. Now try HDMI Output OFF with vcgencmd display_power 0 and HDMI Output ON with vcgencmd display_power 1 instead of the command above.

I’m currently trying to install MM with the autoinstaller on my Pi 3 with the newest Raspbian version with Pixel, but the install fails at

electron-chromedriver@1.6.0 install `node ./download-chromedriver.js

Node.JS (v6.10.2) and npm (v4.5.0) are installed
