Thanks yawns, which module will you be using - MMM-PIR-Sensor?
Out of interest, do you know if it’s possible to set the time the hdmi stays live for, or is it purely based on whether there’s any movement detected?

How do you switch on / off, wake up yours?
I’m in the final stages of construction and happy with the basic installation of hardware and software. My Pi sits inside a frame with a monitor, and I can vnc in to it.
What I’m interested in, is everyone’s methods for switching on / off and waking up etc.Do you leave it switched on all the time? (not my preferred choice as noone is in the house during the day and that seems a little wasteful)
If not, how do you wake up your screen or Pi? PIR sensor, camera, some kind of switch, remote access? -
RE: Lesson plan for 2 daughters
Ahh, thanks. I’d search, but didn’t come across that. I’ll give it a try!

RE: Lesson plan for 2 daughters
Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn’t look like I can set a list to repeat, every 2 weeks, for x number of weeks (like I can in Google).
Anyone else?

Lesson plan for 2 daughters
One of the main functions for my new mirror, will be to display my 2 daughters’ school lessons for the day.
I’ve looked at a few methods for this, but looking for more ideas if possible. I’d like to use Google Calendar, so I can update on my work PC/phone, when necessary.
I’ve tried adding the 5 lessons for the day in one event entry, but the text limit is a little restrictive and comes out in one line.
I’ve considered adding each lesson as an individual entry but the problem is duplicating the plan across the year (the plan is the same every two weeks, but school holidays sometimes mess this up).
I’ve considered creating 2 separate Google accounts.nb. interestingly, if you add items to the day events individually, in alphabetical order, they are not displayed in that order on mm2
Anyone have any inspired ideas?
