    • RE: MMM-MirrorMirrorOnTheWall installation issue

Here is the test button on AWS Lamda ( i have read that a lot of people get errors here i don’t know why but then it works for them at the Alexa test just like yours did)
      0_1535055135303_LambdaTest.png

And here is the error that i get which seems to come form the “…/src/node_modules/aws-iot-device-sdk/device” file … so something on the index file on the aws-iot-device-sdk inside node_modules its what its not liking

I don’t get it what i am doing wrong i am following the steps exactly …please show me how you did it

    • RE: Microphone advise for PI2 & voice control

@dvbit @maxbachmann I do not want to run anything any here else but at the same room at the same pi…i want to run alexa and MMM-voice thats it but they will not work with one mic …they need 2 mics to be configured somehow on the pi.
Hotword and Snowboy will not help me much but something like MMM-MirrorMirrorOnTheWall will but that is getting way to difficult to install for some reason…i am on my 3rd try
as far as the playstation mic goes i am sure that may be a good mic but i am not suffering from quality …does that act as 2 separate mics not as an array??

    • RE: MMM-MirrorMirrorOnTheWall installation issue

@OceanK OK so how did you get to that point??? i have tried to install it from scratch 2 times but still no luck …when i test the skill i get null for response on the right (please check out the above pics) … Do you test the Lamda function does it give you any errors (before communicating with Alexa, just Lamda by itself with its test button not the skill) cause my Lamda does not compile and i dont know where am i making the mistake??
Here is my question do you put the node_modules folder inside the certs folder or outside of it just on the src folder?? …before you zip it into Archive is what i am talking about !!
Lets keep talking i am sure by bouncing off ideas of each other we will get it

@havannasurf @joanaz Ok what AwS IoT username are you referring to and where??
My Lambda function is called MMotW when i try to test the Lamda function i get these errors for logs
      0_1534200935660_Lambda2.png
I followed all the instructions to the T so i used the exact same names as per instructions …i did not change anything that was not written there in the instructions …was i was supposed to change any?
What names in cert files are we talking about?
Here is what my certs and src insides look like :)

    • MMM-MirrorMirrorOnTheWall installation issue

Re: Mirror mirror on the wall alexa skill

@joanaz Hi there i am stuck at the testing of the Alexa skill part.
I did follow the instruction step by step and to the T (great documentation work y the way … wow thank you) and when i got the the testing part and inputting “on the wall” on the Alexa Developer Console all i get is “There was a problem with requested skills response” and on the “json output” window all i get is “null”.
I tried to backtrack my steps and see where i might have made a mistake and i cant seem to find where!!

Where should i start troubleshooting any ideas?? All help will be greatly appreciated

      Thank you

    • Input ideas

Ok so i have an iFrame module in my Magic Mirror that has buttons in it that i can press to trigger home automation things but i need to press them somehow…how can i do that without having a mouse dangling around any ideas.??

I did connect a Bluetooth pointer/joy stick gaming mouse but it disconnects too often and it is so difficult to use cause it moves too fast. Does anyone else have any other ideas on how can i achieve some sort of input into the MM area ??

      Thank you

    • RE: MMM-Hotword

@Sean Will you are again the man to ask about my last predicament!!
It is regarding MMM-Hotword … i have AlexaPi installed independently of Magic Mirror on the same Rpi and i want to install MMM-Voice as well but they are conflicting over microphone resources how can i use them both with either 1 ore 2 USB mics ( i have 2 mics if it’s easier) but don’t know how to configure them to be used by the 2 programs - 1 each. Will MMM-Hotword be able to achieve that i want to do use Alexa and Voice module on the same mirror.
Again please point me to the right direction.

    • RE: upgrade to 2.4.1problems and solutions

Another thing i have noticed is that configuring the settings to Disable WiFi Power Save on Rpi 3 (Stretch) will brake automatic connection to the router in a weird way … meaning after a reboot the Rpi will associate itself to a wireless network that you have previously signed on to but there is no internet access … you have to manually disconnect from the network and connect back on for internet to start working !!! which is definitely not ideal for a automatic run of raspberry pi !!

Has anyone else had this issue??
