Unable to get my google calendar to sync with MMM-MonthlyCalendar. Is it compatible?

Anyone know if MMM-MonthlyCalendar is compatible with using the Google Calendar API? Nothing I’ve tried has gotten it to sync with my MM but accessing the ics file via web browser shows that it’s accessible. Am I doing something wrong or are they just not compatible with one another?

@moosespectacles this module uses the default calendar module to read the ics data , and then broadcast it to other modules.

so move the url to the default calendar, make sure it works, then comment out the default calendar position

and use monthly calendar as you expect
