Display Issue

Hello everyone, first I want to say I don’t know if this is the correct place to ask this question since it may not be software specific but hopefully someone can help.
So I installed the program onto an old Chromebook that I had laying around and didn’t mind tearing apart. I then used it behind a piece of plexiglass that already had the filmed applied to it, figuring it would look better than me doing it myself. The monitor can be seen some what clearly through it if looked at straight on. So is there any settings in the software that I can edit to make only the text visible and the rest completely blacked out? Or do I need a better display than what the chromebook provides? Or do I need to get an actual piece of mirrored glass to get the results I’m looking for?
Again sorry if this isn’t the correct place to ask but I’m hoping someone here might have some thoughts on the problem. Thank you for any suggestions.

@xvmodvx what do you mean text visible and the rest blacked out?

You should not seen the screen itself, only whatever the modules show.

SoBe displays do not have very high viewing angle (on purpose)

So if I look at the screen with it above my head, so looking upwards at it, it looks good and how I would like it look. However if the screen in below my head, so I’m looking downward at it, then I can clearly see the entire monitor through the plexiglass. The glow from the screen even in the black areas with no text can clearly be seen, even though it’s at the lowest dim level.

I know online everyone says how great Pilkington MirroView looks as a end result though I can’t find anywhere to order it online, only calling the company directly and talking to someone.

I’m just wondering if anyone has thoughts on the best route to go. Would buying MirroView block the ambient light from the screen better? Or would I still have the same problem and looking for a new screen is probably the only way to go?
