Touch inverted, can't get it right!! HELP

Anyone know if its possible to get the touchscreen (42") to run in portrait mode “with” built-in touch (USB) functionality? The display and touch work great in landscape mode, but I cannot get it to work in portrait.
Adding the following in the config.txt seem to have no effect on touch:
display_rotate=3
or
lcd_rotate=3
However, lcd_rotate=3 does rotate screen but no luck on touch interface
I’m running the latest MM2 v2.3.1 config, on a Raspberry Pi 3.
Please help!!
