Display and Controller dont work together ?

Hello, i have Buy this 2 Components …
It look that not Work Together.
I Switch it On and only the Display works with the Background Light.
Only the Light Works on the Side. No Picture on the Display.Need i a other Display for the Board or a other Board for the Display ?

@Holyasgard Did you also buy a power supply for the controller board? You need that. However, I went through four of these type of lcd controller boards with exactly the same problem as you. In the end, I used a different monitor and the controller board that came with it. Turnout to be a lot easier.
