Hello I’m new to this forum but have been interested in doing a magic mirror for a while. I’m wondering if this would be a good start for a project.

They are on the clearance at my local store. Thank you for your help!

Yes, absolutely. In addition to giving you experience with a Raspberry Pi, it will get you warmed up with the Google Assistant code, GPIO pins and Raspberry Pi expansion boards (“hats”). You can always incorporate a lot of it into a Magic Mirror later if you like.

Bog-standard Raspberry Pi is $35. So another $15 gets you hardware and a project to learn more.

Is there a good tutorial that you can recommend?
