      @dazza120 magicmirror does not fiddle with the hdmi or monitor on its own. this is provided by some module.

      the OS may have a power save mode that turns off hdmi…

        @sdetweil it’s mmm-voice when I tell it to hide the module the feed goes eventually, I just left it on and turned off the monitor and everything is good so we are all good :) thanks

          @dazza120 yes MMM-voice has code to turn off the display when it is told ‘go to sleep’

            I use this
            the script is very simple and it turn off or on my screen when I want
            and I never get " no signal" …

              @seramik thanks but as said I already have a method of turning to TV off I just wanted the hdmi to stay live, as said it’s the mmm-voice that was the issue/cause
