    Hi All,

New to all of this so please excuse my ignorance.

Successfully setup a working MM with several modules following tutorials and problem solving with the use of various posts in the forum. Gaining (very basic) knowledge as I go. The whole reason for this project.

I’ve decided I want to incorporate MMM-AssistantMk2 and have purchased a Respeaker2 and installed as per their instructions and 2-3 different small USB speakers.

During the auto-install of AssistantMk2 when presented with the check speaker option, regardless of which card:device I select it returns “configuration not working”. The USB is visible as card 2 device 0 but even if I plug in headphones to the 3.5mm jack to either the respeaker or the Pi board and select any and all combos of card:device I still get the same result.

Can’t find any answers searching the net or forum. Could anyone point me in the right direction please?

Happy to post any info required.

    Cheers,
    Ed

arecord can create .wav but I am unable o listen to it to confirm a recording.

Heres a list of CAPTURE and PLAYBACK devices:

        pi@raspberrypi:~ $ arecord -l
**** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices ****

          Subdevices: 1/1
          Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
        pi@raspberrypi:~ $ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
        card 0: ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA], device 0: bcm2835 ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA]

If I try to get to get the USB speaker to play what the mic is capturing it returns this:

        pi@raspberrypi:~ $ arecord -f cd -Dhw: | aplay -Dhw:1

        Any ideas at all please?

        Cheers!
