      This is more of a tutorial to help.

      When I was setting my MM on my computer, I did run into an issue. Which says the following:

      > magicmirror@2.14.0 start C:\Users\fredb\Downloads\MagicMirror
      > DISPLAY="${DISPLAY:=:0}" ./node_modules/.bin/electron js/electron.js

      'DISPLAY' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
      operable program or batch file.
      npm ERR! code ELIFECYCLE
      npm ERR! errno 1
      npm ERR! magicmirror@2.14.0 start: `DISPLAY="${DISPLAY:=:0}" ./node_modules/.bin/electron js/electron.js`
      npm ERR! Exit status 1
      npm ERR!
      npm ERR! Failed at the magicmirror@2.14.0 start script.
      npm ERR! This is probably not a problem with npm. There is likely additional logging output above.

      I sorted this with the following
      editing the package.json, change the “start” line and removing all the DISPLAY stuff so it starts “./node_modules”

      Then you have to do

      cd MagicMirror
      cd vendor
      npm install
      cd ..
      cd fonts
      npm install
      cd ..

      Then you can do npm start.

      Thanks Sam on discord for helping me.
