      Can somebody elaborate on what the “sudo” command does and what it means in this context?

      Do not install MagicMirror or this module as root user ! (sudo)
      This is the first step when installing the Spotify module.

        @brendan_c23 sudo means become root user for this one command

        all files created will be owned by root, and protected from other users writing to them
        modules need to write to files…

        for MM, NEVER need to use sudo
