      @ulster ok, so what to the message look like (in the window where us start MM, with npm start

      or if you use pm2,

      the pm2 logs --lines =???
      ??? is a number, default 15

          @ulster so, you need to do

          cd ~/MagicMirror
          npm install electron-rebuild
          cd ~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-GoogleAssistant
          ~/MagicMirror/node_modules/.bin/electron-rebuild
          

          note the . (dot) in front of bin on the last command

              I have installed on 2.15 and it works…

                now the problem seems to be in mmm assistant2display

                  @ulster so, do the npm run rebuild in the Assistant2Display folder epoll is a bugger

                      @ulster Just for others running into the same issue, MMM-CalendarExt2 uses the now-deprecated valid-url, so it also throws the black screen on MM launch. I’m not nearly good enough at any coding to attempt a fix though.

                        @wenike deprecated doesn’t mean no longer works… just means you “shouldn’t use it for NEW development”

                        SO, if its not loaded, YOU can still load it…

                        npm install valid-url

                        in whatever module needs it
