      Looking for a module to display pictures (not wallpaper) in a widow. The module needs to rotate pictures from a network drive folder. Any suggestions.

        note that they all take from a ‘local’ folder , but you can use a linked folder to the network share

        the command is ln (for link)

        I do this on all of my systems to show pics from my server

          I appreciate the response sdetweil, and i tried to create the Symlink to a directory with no success.
          ln -s //192.168.x.x/test /Net
          error: failed to create link: permission denied

          I am not linux expert and cant figure this out. Not as simple as i thought trying to access a SMB network drive

            @ccrichtx you have to mount the smb drive first

            same as the net use on windows

            then to create a link u need root permission.
            so u need to use sudo in front of the command
