[MMM-SpotifyConnectUI] Error: connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:4000
-
Hi, I get an connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:4000error. while trying to run the [MMM-SpotifyConnectUI] module.Connecting socket for: MMM-SpotifyConnectUI [MMM-SpotifyConnectUI] Notification received: CONFIG [MMM-SpotifyConnectUI] Error: connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:4000Does anyone know how to fix this?
 I can confirm that I have placed myspotify_appkey.keyin the/spotify-connect-webfolder, if that’s relevant.
-
Have you installed Spotify Connect Web on that address?
-
@Cato I’m sorry. I am very new to raspberry pi. To be honest; I don’t know. How to I proceed to find out which address Spotify Connect Web is installed on?
-
What did you do? Did you read my documentation?
-
Yes I followed the instructions from your module. I first installed Spotify Connect Web, then I installed the module and changed my config.js folder.
However, when installing Spotify Connect web, I did get a permission issue when I was supposed to insertchmod a+x /etc/systemd/system/spotifyconnect.serviceI got this ~ $ chmod a+x /etc/systemd/system/spotifyconnect.service chmod: changing permissions of ‘/etc/systemd/system/spotifyconnect.service’: Operation not permittedI insterted a sudocommand to continue the installations steps. Is this causing my issue?
-
No sudois required. Hmmm, did I forget that in my documentation… :-)
-
@Cato So, despite that I get Operation not permittedI should continue to the next step? :)
-
You say you get permission errors even when using sudo?
-
@Cato No, after inserting sudoinfront ofchmod a+x /etc/systemd/system/spotifyconnect.serviceI did not get any permissions errors.
When I continued I did not encounter any other errors before I tried to launch MM and got
 [MMM-SpotifyConnectUI] Notification received: CONFIG
 [MMM-SpotifyConnectUI] Error: connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:4000

What happen if you open http://127.0.0.1:4000 in a browser on the RPi – or change the IP to the IP of the RPi and open in a browser on your own machine?
