Can't install Node.js
-
So, I am SUPER new to the Pi world, the only thing I have done with one yet is make an Octoprint with an Orange Pi which was pretty straight forward. I tried to make a Dakboard but it wasn’t connecting to my touch screen, so I decided to go ahead and try to make a MagicMirror. I’m running into an issue where I can’t install Node.js. once I get to the command line " sudo mkdir -p /etc/apt/keyrings" it does nothing. I’ve been searching for about a day now and I keep getting links for older Node.js installs So pardon my ignorance with this, it’s been a frustrating ride.

Disregard I was doing it all wrong… I’m sorry

@bhlhomme yeh the official process doesn’t work.
reflash the SD card, boot, skip updates and use my install script

@sdetweil Will do. Thank you!

@sdetweil Thanks for this! I finally got past the node.js install issues, and seems to be working well from the console.
