MMM-WeatherBackground crashing?
-
Hi everyone!
I’d like to get some help with my MagicMirror MMM-WeatherBackground issue. Occasionally my MagicMirror crashes and is showing a black screen with the cursor.
I’ve been trouble shooting this issue, but no luck.
I’ve been disabling various modules to get to the bottom of this, and eventually it was the WeatherBackground causing the issue. I’ve disabled this function and it’s been up and running perfectly fine for the past week. Before it would cash multiple times a day.
I’m using the RaspBerry Pi Model 3B+ with the following config.js:
GNU nano 7.2 MagicMirror/config/config.js * /* Config Sample * * For more information on how you can configure this file * see https://docs.magicmirror.builders/configuration/introduction.html * and https://docs.magicmirror.builders/modules/configuration.html * * You can use environment variables using a `config.js.template` file instead of `config.js` * which will be converted to `config.js` while starting. For more information * see https://docs.magicmirror.builders/configuration/introduction.html#enviromnent-variables */ let config = { address: "localhost", // Address to listen on, can be: // - "localhost", "127.0.0.1", "::1" to listen on loopback inte> // - another specific IPv4/6 to listen on a specific interface // - "0.0.0.0", "::" to listen on any interface // Default, when address config is left out or empty, is "local> port: 8080, basePath: "/", // The URL path where MagicMirror² is hosted. The error logs showing no error, never, not even when crashing. Syntax no errors.

@MrCoads only thing i can think of is one of the images is damaged.
-
@sdetweil Well, maybe… weird thing is, the first “word” it looked up was winter, getting all winter themed pictures. That crashed randomly at times. Now it went to Spring, still getting crashes. Different pics, same crashes :( …
-
@MrCoads id find some tool to run thru the images
how old is the sd card?
-
@sdetweil Bought the SD Card 4 weeks ago… Rest of modules and everything runs fine…
Maybe better to just use a Googel Drive or something to display images? What you think ? -
@MrCoads i use a local file server, and link the mounted image source folder the module needs
-
@sdetweil I’ll probably do that then… Still haven’t found the solution tho :(
