Linking Apple Calendar

  • Noon here trying to please the wife. If I create a public calendar on my Apple account and plug in the URL is this the appropriate way to load it in? I require calendar events that relate to my everyday life and of course holidays are a big deal so probably keeping whats in place is a good idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi,
Yes I think only public works. Personal calendar don’t give you a link you could embed in the config

Alright after a little research I have found that you can create a public apple calendar and you can generate a link or url from it I am going to test it out see what I come up with. more to follow any recommendations or advise would be greatly appreciated!

  • Alright update the link generated from the apple calendar that is made public does not work anyone have any guidance

  • I am having the same issue with Google Calendar. I’m using my private Google Calendar but can generate a “private” url to access it (.ics link) but it continues to display “loading…”. I have two pi’s, one that is updated and one that is not. The one that is not updated does work with the same private url link but the updated pi does not work. Again, I am using the same link in both with different results.

  • Hi, I used icaltogcal and this worked for me, up until the point where i tried to update to 2.1.1 and blew up my MagicMirror… but give that a shot.
