which programation language do i need to add and improve alexa's skills?

Hiii! i read that i only need PYTHON to edit and add whatever i want to alexa’s program, is PYTHON enough!?, because i’ve learned it before so if it’s just it i’ll find it easy to learn it again, especially that it’s the easiest language, am afraid if the answer is gonna be Java, it needs time to learn.
