Sorry if this is the wrong place for this post but I wasn’t sure where else it could go.

But essentially I’m moving from one side of the country to another (still in the US) and I wanted to take my Magic Mirror with me in my carry on. I don’t trust the check in baggage even if it is labeled “fragile”.

Just not sure how TSA would react to it. I’m sure people have packed and brought their desktops before, but this looks “scarier” to the uninitiated. Oh and I’m also brown, not stereotypical “terrorist brown” but in my experience it doesn’t really matter to the TSA, all they see is a brown man with a beard.

Has anyone taken their MM with them when they moved? How did you manage it and did you have any issues?

idk. How dangerous does this look? alt text https://imgur.com/icQZvLb

I too am brown. Again the non-stereotypical type. I don’t have any direct experience with this, but what if you just removed the RPi? Then it’s just a monitor and you shouldn’t have to even pull it out of your carry-on. Chances are they’ll inspect regardless, but you shouldn’t have any major issues. You can clearly see where all the wires are going. good luck!
