Works like a charm. Many thanks to you and @cowboysdude.
I should probably learn more about Git and create a repo of my own based on RedNax67’s great work. That way I can keep tinkering and learning.

It might be interference. Try installing a ferrite bead. The person whose site I’ve linked below had a very similar problem and describes how he fixed it.

I’m new to javascript but that’s what I thought I saw in the code (that the user images were purely static). I tried appending
?+ new Date().getTime();
to the image pull but probably due to an error on my part still couldn’t get the user-defined images to force a refresh on each update to the DOM. I’m in the early stages of learning javascript so it’s still a bit frustrating at times.
If you could add the fresh image retrieval functionality for user images to a future update that would be much appreciated but there’s no hurry. Should I put a “formal” request in the Requests forum?
Thanks,
Renfield
Great to hear. I love it when a plan comes together.
Now I need to scrounge up a bead for my build.

And now back to the same problems with IE and the iPad (Forbidden messages when attempting to log in).
That seems to point towards something on the forum/account as opposed to the iPad.
Ren
Now it’s working on all devices. I’m stumped.
Ren
Now I have the same problem (a 403 error) on IE 11. It was working fine earlier today. Stranger and stranger.
Ren
I’ve cleared everything browser-related that I can several times. Still No joy.
Ren
Hmmm. It doesn’t seem to be my account so it must be something on my iPad that’s changed.
I’ll have to try a reboot when I get home and see if that has any effect.
I’ve had a problem logging in to the forum the last several days when using my iPad. Prior to last week there were no issues from this device.
I’m experiencing no problems logging in from several other PC devices. On iOS I’m getting a blank white page with the text “Forbidden.” and nothing more. I’ve tried clearing the history and saved password to no avail.
Any ideas what’s going on?
Thanks,
Ren

How do you disable this kind of alert? I’ve modified the module substantially and don’t want to update it and don’t want to see the update messages.
Also, where does the code reside that fires off these update checks?
Thanks,
Ren
