I just whipped up a google fit module this weekend for personal use, but thought the wonderful community would appreciate it as well! Currently it will show your step progress as well as weights if you record those.

Check it out on github and give any feedback you have. I made this for my own personal needs, but am open for feedback :)

      Cheers!

    • RE: Humidity for Current Weather Module

Thanks for all of the positive feedback, I thought it might be useful so just wanted some thoughts on making it pretty before I completed the pull request. As long as I am not too busy in the next few days, it should be in the dev branch by the end of the weekend.

As for the talk of New York weather, I live in the Midwest (Wisconsin) and we easily see 100+ degrees across the span of 12 months (usually 0 - 100f) - sometimes dropping or rising 60 degrees in a week! Not sure how that compares ;)

    • RE: Attach the monitor with glue to the mirror?

One thing to note: I noticed that the mirror coating on my magic mirror is very delicate. I am not sure if other people have ordered from TAP Plastics.

Adhesives seem dangerous as it could rip that backing of the foil-like mirror coating right off!

I am sorry I am a quite late to the conversation, but I actually just made a module that will do this!

Check it out on github and give any feedback you have. I made this for my own personal needs, but am open for feedback :)

    • RE: PIR sensor behind glass?

If you want a very simple solution (independent of MM completely), check out this script. This is what I am using, it is a very simple python script that reads the value of a PIR and then selectively turns on / off the monitor. You will need to change things up a bit as I wrote it for a C.H.I.P. but the GPIO library is the same.
