RE: My 1st MagicMirror2
I love this! What a great dashboard! The colours, the layout, the features/modules you are using! I really like the “Hood Family mobile phones” module! What a brilliant way of keeping tabs on who’s in and who’s out! Commute to different destinations, it’s great!
I’m sure none of it is overly difficult to an experienced wizard, me however, it’s like learning Russian and Cantonese at the same time, my mind is melting! haha
Would you be willing to share your config.js.sample, .css and any other relevant info (probably with instructions for the newbies like me) and for others to clone parts of your fantastic design?

RE: Change Currentweather colors
@Anachor Hi i’m following your instructions, in what folder do you save your new “mystyles.css” in order for this to work?

Weather compliments
Hi again guys… :p
Right i’m a total noob with absolutely no experience in programming or writing code… I have installed programs simply by clicking an install.exe and following on screen commands but that’s about as far as my level of experience goes! hahaSo far i’m really chuffed with myself as I appear to have all the basic modules calibrated correctly?
Time: local
Weather: local
News: BBC News
Calendar: Personal gmail
Compliments: edited text file to include the odd profanity in order to motivate my lazy ass!So far so good… All working and looking great!
I look more into the compliments area and see you can customise compliments to relate to weather… Awesome! Tried adding it myself, failed. Has anyone got a copy and paste of the compliments.txt with weather related compliments working I can use as a template?
Many thanks!! -
Total novice experiencing install problems with "mm.sh"?
Hi guys, I’ve just received my Pi 3 Model B and eager as hell to get stuck in on this project. I loved the site because whilst it’s very detailed it seems very simple to follow along with in order to install the Magic Mirror.
I think my problem lies in the mm.sh area?
In the file itself with text:
cd ~/MagicMirror
DISPLAY=:0 npm startThe “cd” is blue in colour and the “=” is green, whilst all other characters are in white. Am i correct in assuming this is a problem?
Also upon running of MagicMirror via command:
pm2 start mm.sh the mirror will boot but has message “Please create config file.”
“See README for more information”Help?
Thanks in advance…
Newbie out of his depth!
