@internetpolice here is the video that I promised https://youtu.be/IN2Kyfa8_Qc I recorded it at 4K/50p so it should be rich in detail.

RE: New 2-way mirror supplier - low prices and lead times
@tomster I will try to get some samples but I can’t promise anything.
@InternetPolice Sorry for the long wait for the mirror comparison pictures, but my setup is quite big for a single person to handle so I have to wait for some help to get it off the wall, unhook the power, take it to a bright spot with natural light, put the mirrors next to each other and take some good photos from all angles.

@ernade said in New 2-way mirror supplier - lower prices and lead times:
Hi,
could you tell how much will cost for a 50x40 cm to ship to Italy?
The price would be 59,80 EUR for the mirror and you can choose the shipping method:
- Option 1 - Bulgarian Posts - 33,21 EUR
- Option 2 - DPD - 39,49 EUR

RE: Borderless bathroom mirror
@bkost I am using three different PSUs - A 5V 3A for the RPi, a separate 5V 30W for the LED strip and the original PSU for the display, but it all depends on your setup and the length of the LED strip. However, I would advise you to have separate PSUs as the LED strip draws quite a lot of current especially if all channels, including the white are used.

@internetpolice Yeah I could do that, if you don’t mind the fact that Chriz is partly broken :) I will try to post some pictures later.

RE: New 2-way mirror supplier - low prices and lead times
@fribse There is no minimum price or order. Whatever you need, I will provide :)
50x50 cm would be 74,75 EUR and the shipping to Denmark would be 30 EUR by Bulgarian Post (delivery time up to 7 days) or 35 EUR by DPD (delivery time 3-5 days) -
RE: New 2-way mirror supplier - low prices and lead times
@tomster I guess the only solution to achieve a regular mirror reflection is to have a custom-built mirror where only the area in front of the display is 2-way mirror and the rest is a regular mirror coating, but I can’t imagine how much would that cost :D
I am happy with my mirror now and so is my girlfriend. It is better than the other mirror that I ordered here on the forum and it is much cheaper so I decided to share that with everyone. I barely make any profit out of this since I have a well-paid full-time job and I am doing this for the community since I gathered a lot of knowledge from here throughout the years and I decided to give something back in return.

Here is a video, demonstrating the three types of lightning I have in my bathroom: backlight from the mirror frame, ambient lights and main ceiling lights https://youtu.be/wqJNxCwOmck
To be honest I almost never use the main ceiling lights - only when I am thoroughly cleaning the bathroom, most of the time I use only the backlight from the mirror frame or the ambient lightning as that is enough for me.

RE: New 2-way mirror supplier - low prices and lead times
Hi @tomster. I am not really aware of the coating used. I could ask, but I am not sure if they will tell me. Is there a way I could test it myself? Maybe with a multimeter, touching the back of the mirror seeing if it conducts electricity?
I don’t have a touch foil with me to test it out as I am a fan of no-fingerprint surfaces and the mirrors are definitely not such :D
I rely on voice control as it is linked to my Home Assistant instance and I can command my whole house with voice via MMM-GoogleAssistant.
