Everything has gone fine up until I’ve tried to get the code from the OAuth redirect from putting

node auth-and-test.js

In the AssistantMk2 folder in terminal, and when I go to log in to my Google account, the little blue bar at the top of the little sign in window goes and nothing happens. I’ve tried rebooting, I’ve tried getting new credentials, I’ve tried clearing the cache of the browser (which isn’t chromium for some reason, just a random browser with a picture of a globe as the icon), and nothing works, just the same thing over and over again. Can’t seem to find another way to get the code either, so im stuck. All help is appreciated, just want to get this fixed. Thanks!

@sean I use PulseAudio for my microphone because the mic uses a 4 mic array and the default program doesn’t like that, I thinks it’s Alsa or something, but anyways, I use the speakers connected to the TV I am using via the HDMI output, and it works to play an MP3 I downloaded as well as using Shairport-sync. How do I use a record to check if my mic records? When I open pulse audio and speak into my mic it registers as picking up sound, is that enough? Or do I need to use arecord?

I use PulseAudio with my PS3 eye camera microphone, is this program compatible with MMM-AssistantMk2? I would like to use this mic with this module if possible.

I’m using Shairport-sync to cast music to my mirror using Airplay from my iPhone, as I use Apple Music. Is there any voice control modules I can use to be able to tell my mirror to play music, and have it cast via Airplay to my mirror from my iPhone?

@sonicgoose you might have fine luck with it, but mine fails over and over during the install and @sdetweil seems to be having the same issue. I would say give it a try and if it works, awesome. If it doesn’t, maybe take a look at some other voice control modules. If anyone finds a fix I will be sure to tag you if you also aren’t able to get it to work, if you try it that is. Good luck! @sdetweil that’s perfectly fine, thanks for you help! Do you have any suggestions for other good voice control ones to try that are either similar to this one or have better capabilities? I saw mirrormirroronthewall but that one sounds really hard to use and I’m not sure I need that much. Would be open to using Google Assistant. Is there any I can use to control music? I have an iPhone and use Apple music and have it on my Pi with Shairport-sync, so if there is one that can control music that would be absolute perfection!! If not, I’m open to other suggestions as this one doesn’t seem to want to work. Thanks!

Has anyone used both Alexa and Google Assistant modules? In currently trying to get MMM-awesome-alexa to work but i can’t get the install to run right, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a better module for either Alexa or if there is a better one for Google. I would probably be open to trying that as well if it was either able to do the same or more than awesome-alexa? Just want good voice control for my mirror but MMM-awesome-alexa is being a big pain in my ass at the moment and i can’t figure out how to fix it so I’m open to suggestions haha thanks in advance!
